Lucknow: In an attempt to connect with the electorate, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will launch BJP’s ‘Sujhaav Aapka, Aankalp Hamara’ programme on Wednesday.
The idea behind the ‘sujhaav aapka, sankalp hamara’ is to get people’s opinions and suggestions and incorporate the same in BJP’s ‘sankalp patra’ (manifesto) for the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections which is expected to be released in January.
Giving details of the programme, Sankalp Patra Committee’s chairman and UP Finance Minister Suresh Khanna said that BJP will place boxes across all the 403 Assembly segments and appeal to people to write their suggestions and drop them in the boxes.
“The BJP government has done many historic works to raise the standard of living of the people of the state which the previous state government failed to do,” Khanna said.
He said that the Sankalp Patra in 2017 was also prepared by the BJP on the suggestions of the people.
The Uttar Pradesh finance minister said that BJP prepared its poll manifesto for 2017 Uttar Pradesh polls based on teh suggestions provided by the people.
“We went to the elections on the basis of the promises made in Sankalp Patra. We have fulfilled all the promises,” Khanna said.
The UP minister said the BJP members will interact with the locals and businessmen ad incorporate their suggestions.
“People’s suggestions will also be collected by establishing a dialogue with the members of Sankalp Patra Committee and various social and business sections in all the major metro cities of the state. Suggestions will also be taken through websites, e-mails and missed calls,” he added.
Uttar Pradesh elections are expected to be held early next year. Some polls surveys have predicted that the Samajwadi Party headed by Akhilsh Yadav may emerge as the main challenger to the ruling BJP.
