Instructions have been issued by BJP chief JP Nadda for cleanliness and blood-donation campaigns as PM Modi turns 71 on September 17.
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has planned a 20-day mega event – ‘Seva aur Samarpan Abhiyan’ from Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 71st birthday from September 17 to mark his 20 years in public service.
This year is also the 20th anniversary of his becoming the Gujarat Chief Minister on October 7, 2001.
In Uttar Pradesh, for example, the BJP will hold a campaign to clean River Ganga at 71 sites. Instructions have been issued by BJP chief JP Nadda for such cleanliness and blood-donation campaigns.
Further, the BJP will send 5 crore postcards from booths across the country to congratulate the prime minister for his efforts “as members commit themselves to public service”.
“The party has also asked workers to publicize the auction of gifts received by PM Modi,” a statement issued by BJP said.
BJP National General Secretary Kailash Vijayvargiya, D Purandeshwari, Vinod Sonkar, and Rashtriya Kisan Morcha President Rajkumar Chahar have been given special responsibilities for the campaign including exhibitions on PM Modi’s life at all state and district offices of the party.
Hoardings will be put up thanking PM Modi “for free food grains and vaccination for poor”.
Under the same campaign, BJP workers will encourage people to use Khadi and local products on October 2, the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi.
BJP’s Kisan Morcha will also celebrate ‘Kisan Jawan Samman Diwas’ in every district of the country. Under this initiative, the party will honour families of soldiers and farmers.
Meanwhile, PM Modi topped global leader approval ratings with 70 percent according to a survey conducted “among all adults”, leaving behind heavyweights like Joe Biden, Boris Johnson, Angela Merkel, Justin Trudeau, and others.
