n the eve of World EV Day, Ola Electric commenced with online purchases of its new Ola electric scooters available in Ola S1 and Ola S1 Pro variants. Retailing at Rs 99,999 and Rs 129,999 (ex-showroom, India) for both the variants, the Ola electric scooters will be on sale today till stocks last, and the entire procedure will be handled digitally. The Ola electric scooters are available in 10 colors and will be delivered directly by Ola across 1,000 cities in India.
The Ola electric scooter S1 and S1 Pro are also eligible for FAME-II as well as state subsidies, so expect the prices to be lowered at the time of purchase in certain regions. For instance, after state subsidies in Delhi, the S1 would cost Rs 85,009 whereas in Gujarat it would be Rs 79,000. Ola has also tied up with banks and financial institutes for an EMI plan starting at Rs 2,999. In states with active subsidy grants, the Ola S1 electric scooter will be much more affordable than many petrol scooters.

The Ola S1 features a 2.98kWh battery pack, while the Ola S1 Pro is offered with a larger 3.97kWh battery pack. These units help the S1 and S1 Pro achieve the 0-40kmph sprint in 3.6 seconds, and 3 seconds respectively. The 0-60kmph run is achieved in 7 seconds and 5 seconds on Ola S1 and Ola S1 Pro respectively. A wall charger can juice up the S1 Pro in 6 hours 30 minutes, while the same is done on the S1 at a better time of 4 hours 48 minutes. In terms of performance, the Ola S1 has a 90kmph top speed and 121km of range on a single charge coupled with two modes- Normal and Sports. The top-spec Ola S1 Pro electric scooter has a top speed of 115kmph with 181km of range, with three riding modes- Normal, Sports, and Hyper.

The Ola electric scooters will be offered with a smart vehicle control unit (VCU), an octa-core processor, 3GB of RAM, and high-speed connectivity through 4G, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth. A 7-inch touchscreen will also be offered. Both the S1 and S1 Pro electric scooters come with a reverse park assist function, a hill-hold system, and cruise control. Other key features on the Ola S1 and S1 Pro electric scooters consist of proximity lock/unlock, remote boot lock/unlock, onboard navigation, geo-fencing, mobile phone call & message alerts, and an anti-theft alarm system.
