Implementation of ‘Deshbhakti Curriculum’ the Delhi Schools, especillay those that are Public, would begin from today – September 28, 2021. This announcement about introducing and implementing this curriculum was made by the Chief Minister of Delhi Arvind KejriWal. This initiative would applicable to all classes Nursery to 12.
Delhi Government decided to implement this ‘Deshbhakti Curriculum’ on account of the 75th anniversary of Independence. The announcement for the same was made in August, around Indepenence day. The motive behind the implementation of this curriculum is to instil patriotism in young minds and future of this country.
Further, in order to celebrate the spirit of independence, the curriculm has been designed in such a way that students will learn a lot in the process. In a previous interview with reporters, Arvind Kejriwal said that the ‘Deshbhakti Curriculum’ would help help realise and live the dream of several freedome fighters. It would even add substantial menaing to Independece Day, much more than symbolic celebration.
Deshbhakti Curriculum was approved by the Governing Council of SCERT. The framework of this was made taking into consideration the pedagogical guidelines of the National curriculum Framework, 2005. The main aim of this is to instil patriotism in young minds and develop a sense of respect towards constitutional values.
