Farmer leader Gurnam Singh Chaduni on Saturday announced his political outfit Samyukta Sangharsh Party, saying that the party will fight the upcoming Assembly election in Punjab.
Addressing the media in Chandigarh, Gurnam Singh Chaduni said, “Most of the political parties are occupied by people with money. Capitalism is increasing continuously in the country. There is a big gap between rich and poor. People with money are making policies for the poor.”
“Our party will be above caste and religion and will be secular. This party will be for all religions, all castes, rural, urban workers, farmers,” Chaduni added.
Gurnam Singh Chaduni said the Samyukta Sangharsh Party would contest all seats in the Punjab Assembly polls.
Sanyukt Sangharsh Party is the first political outfit to have emerged from the year-long farmers’ protest against the three contentious laws.
Gurnam Singh Chadhuni was part of Samyukt Kisan Morcha’s 5-member committee, along with Yudhavir Singh, Ashok Dhawle, Balbir Singh Rajewal and Shiv Kumar Kakka that the union had empowered to hold talks with the Modi government.
